If you start noticing laminate seals bubbling and lifting at the back of your cupboards, or see wet patches lurking back there in the dark- be aware that water could very well be leaking from behind them. Whether it’s pipes beneath the frame, a leak coming down from above; do what you can to find out where this is happening so that everything will not come crashing down once again when dealing with these issues yourself.
